ROM/RAM/CPU Board

s008i001.jpg (175705 bytes)     The EEPROM's are on the top row, all the way on the left.  To the right of them are 4 empty sockets.  From left to right, the EEPROM's are numbered as follows:

EEPROM #4 (H) EEPROM #3 (G) EEPROM #2 (F) EEPROM #1 (E)
9316B-0869

M739H

7851

9316B-0856

M739G

7903

9316B-0855

M739F

7905

9316B-0856

M739E

7905

EEPROM #4 appears to be a replacement.  The others are EPROM or masked.  There's a gold plate over it and it's chipped.  The chip breaks a gold lead/trace.  Here's a closer photo of it:

S032I003.JPG (101973 bytes) The "chip"/break is in the front-middle of the package.  It appears as a white spot on the photo.  You can see that it interrupts a gold trace from the center of the gold plate to a pin on the edge.  There's also a third connection point which goes underneath the package.

I know this isn't the greatest photo.  I had a difficult time getting it to clear up because I was so close.

I'm not sure what type of EEPROM is required as a replacement.  I believe the EEPROM's to be 2k each in size.  I also believe that the program code corresponds to files in the MAME merged set.  The files I suspect are named invader.e through invader.h  The file extension corresponds to numbers on the EEPROM's.
